KoneruHumpi:
KoneruHumpi was born in Gudivada, Krishna District on 31-3-1987. She is the famous chess player and Chess Grand Master in India and won many International Chess titles. Her January 2010 FIDE Elo rating is 2614, placing her number two in the world for women (behind JuditPolgár). In 2007 she surpassed the rating of 2577 set by Susan Polgar to become the second-highest ranked female player in history. She became the second female player ever, after JuditPolgár, to exceed the 2600 Elo mark.
In 2001 she won the World Junior Girls Chess Championship. In 2006 she participated in the Women's World Chess Championship, but was eliminated in the second round.] In the Women's World Chess Championship 2008 she made it to the semi-finals, but was beaten by HouYifan. In 2009 she tied for 1st-4th with Alexander Areshchenko, MageshPanchanathan and EvgenijMiroshnichenko in the Mumbai Mayor Cup.
Humpi became the youngest Woman International Grandmaster in Asia at 12 years. Humpi is the only girl to win against National Boys under-12 Title in 1999. Humpy is the only Woman Grand Master and also the Youngest in India. She won 'Arjuna' award in 2003 and 'Padma Shri' award in 2007.
PullelaGopiChand :
PullelaGopi Chand was born on 16-11-1973 in Nagalla, Guntur district. He won senior National Championship 5 times. He won All England Badminton Championship in the year 2001.To commemorate his excellent achievements as a badminton player at both national and international level, the Government of India awarded him the Arjuna Award in the year 1999. Further in 2001, he was bestowed upon the highest Indian honor in the field of sports, the Rajiv Gandhi KhelRatna Award. After he won The All England Badminton championship, the Government of Andhra Pradesh rewarded him with a cash prize and a plot in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad as a token of appreciation. In the year 2005, he was conferred the Padma Shri Award. He received the Dronacharya Award on 29 August 2009 for his contribution to Indian badminton as a coach.

JwalaGutta:
JwalaGuttais a left-handed Indian badminton player of mixed Chinese and Indian (She was born to Telugu father and Chinese mother).descent who has won the National Badminton Championships thirteen times until 2010. She is one of the best women's doubles badminton players produced by India in recent times, partnering with ShrutiKurien.
In the year 2006 she won the Sri Lanka International Satellite tournament while in the year 2007 she won the Cyprus Badminton International tournament. The same year, she also won at the Pakistan International Challenge tournament and the Indian International Challenge tournament. Apart from these achievements, Jwala won the Nepal International Series tournament 2008 and Yonex Dutch Open Grand Prix 2008 in the Women’s Doubles category. She won a Gold medal in Women Doubles in Commonwealth Games 2010.
In the Mixed Doubles category too, Jwala has shown her excellence as she has grabbed the titles in the Jakarta Satellite tournament and Welsh International tournament in the year 2005, Sri Lanka International Satellite tournament, Cyprus Badminton International tournament and Indian International Challenge tournament in the year 2007, and Nepal International Series tournament, Bitburger Open Grand Prix tournament and KLRC Bulgaria Open Grand Prix tournament in the year 2008. But the latest achievement in December 2009 where she and her mixed doubles partner Diju reached the World Super Series masters final in Malaysia, where they went down to world championship bronze medalists Christinna Pedersen and Joaquim Nielsen 21-14, 21-18.
PentalaHarikrishna :
PentalaHarikrishna is an Indian chess grandmaster. He was born 10th of May 1986 in VinjanamPadu, District Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh.
In 1996 he became world champion in the category U10 at Menorca. In 2000 his ELO-Rating moved up higher to more than 2500 and he was called to become a member of the Indian National Team to participate at the Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.
In 2001, just aged 15, he received the title of a grandmaster and became the youngest grandmaster of India ever in history. His FIDE Rating is 2659 (December 2008) and he is ranked as number 62 in the world. In India he is the third best player after ViswanathanAnand and K. Sasikiran.
NarainKarthikeyan:
Kakarla Kumar Ram NarainKarthikeyan ; (Grandson of PSG Naidu , Founder of PSG Group of Industries Coimbatore) is the first Formula One motor racing driver from India. He has previously competed in Formula One, A1GP, and the Le Mans Series. He made his Formula One debut in 2005 with the Jordan team, and was a WilliamsF1 test driver in 2006 and 2007. Like several other former F1 drivers, Karthikeyan moved to stock car racing and drove the #60 Safe Auto Insurance Company Toyota Tundra for Wyler Racing in the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In January 2011, however, he has signed to drive for the Hispania Racing team in the 2011 Formula One season.
Karthikeyan was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Karthikeyan did his schooling at Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore. Karthikeyan's interest in motorsport began at an early age, as his father was a former Indian national rally champion winning South India Rally seven times. He is also related to the late S.Karivardhan, India's most famous racing driver until Karthikeyan came along. With the ambition of becoming India's first Formula One driver, Karthikeyan finished on the podium in his first ever race, at Sriperumbudur in a Formula Maruti (a.k.a.FISSME). He then went onto the Elf Winfield Racing School in France, showing his talent by becoming a semi-finalist in the Pilote Elf Competition for Formula Renault cars in 1992.
DronavalliHarika :
Harika was born on 11-Jan-1991 in Vijayawada. She is the youngest girl to played in the National 'A' Championship when she was 10 years and nine months and also the youngest to play in the World cup at the age of 11 years 9 months in 2002. She is the youngest Women’s Grand Master in Asia and also she won many National and Asian chess titles.
She won the silver medal in the Women's category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2003 in Mumbai. She has won three World Youth Chess Championship titles: in 2004, she won the Girls under 14 in Heraklio, Greece, and in 2006, she won the Girls under 18 in Batumi, Georgia.
In 2008, she took the Girl's title at the World Junior Chess Championship at Gaziantep, Turkey, winning with a point to spare.She was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2007.She won Bronze medal in 2010 Asian Games in Woman's individual rapid event.She reached quarterfinal stage of Women's World Chess Championship 2010.
KamineniEswaraRao :
He Was born in BatlapenamarruKrishna District. He won the Senior National Body Building Champion ship in 1954 in 90 Kgs. category, and also won the "Strongest man of India" title. He won as many as 25 National awards in Body Building. He was the first Weight lifter who won the Silver Medal for India in the first Asian games in 1951, and he also won "Mr. Universe" title in London. He won the 'Arjuna Award' in 1963.

AchantaSharath Kamal:
AchantaSharath Kamal (born 12 July 1982) is a professional table tennis player from Tamil Nadu, India. He won the men's singles gold in the 16th Commonwealth table tennis championship held at Kuala Lumpur in 2004. He is a recipient of the Arjuna award for the year 2004. He lives in Chennai and is employed with the Indian Oil Corporation as an officer. He visits Spain frequently and used to play for a club there called San Sebastian de los Reyes till 2009.
He won the US Open Table Tennis Men's championships held at Grand Rapids, Michigan in July 2010. He won the title defeating the defending champion Thomas Keinath of Slovakia in an epic battle with a final score of 4-3. He also won the won 2010 Egypt open table tennis championship beating Li Ching of Hong Kong, thus becoming first Indian to win singles title on the ITTF Pro Tour.
He also won the gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, beating crowd favorite Australian William Henzell in the final, apart from helping the Indian team clinch gold in the table tennis team event against Singapore. He teamed up with SubhajitSahato win the Men's Doubles gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
He represented India in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and has been the India No. 1 for four years now. He also has represented the country in the 2006 Asian Games at Qatar.
In the year 2007 he was the First Indian to win the Pyongyong Invitational Tournament held at Pyongyong, North Korea. This was the 21st edition of the tournament which was held in August 2007.His best performance on the world circuit came up in the Japan Pro Tour holds in June 2007 where he beat World No.19, Lee Jung Woo (South Korea). After this victory he reached his career best ranking of World No. 73 and in January 2011 his ranking is 40. Incidentally, Sharath was the only Indian Men's Table Tennis player to be selected for the Beijing Olympics.

GogineniRohit won under-14 category Silver in World chess championship in Greece. He won the gold medal in the World Youth (under-16) Chess Olympiad in Kuala Lumpur
